Who we are
Tim & Paul first worked together 20 years ago whilst cutting their teeth at Candy & Candy. Their first project together was in the Lord Foster designed Chesham Place and it established many of the principals which they still embrace today, with Tim leading the interior architectural side and Paul complimenting this with his knowledge of the finishes and the FF&E.
Whilst at Candy & Candy they collaborated on numerous projects culminating in the One Hyde Park development, the most exclusive apartment building in the world at the time.
After One Hyde Park both Tim & Paul moved on to pastures new, with Tim heading up the design team at Katharine Pooley before being head hunted to be Creative Director of David Linley & Paul leading projects at Taylor Howes Design; all 3 of which are some of the leading London based Interior Design houses. During these years they worked on a range of projects, honing their skills in their respective areas and collaborating with some of the world’s leading architects such as Lord Rogers & David Chipperfield amongst others.
However, it wasn’t long before Tim & Paul’s paths crossed again whilst at the Allect Design Group, with Tim as Creative Director of Helen Green Design and Paul leading the Studio at Rigby & Rigby. It was during this time that they realised how well they worked together and the initial thoughts about forming a company together began to germinate.
Murray Fishpool has been born out of a shared understanding of the core beliefs of what good design and luxury stand for. Good design has to be considered; it is timeless, it does not bow to fads but always remains in vogue. It is the result of years of experience being brought together with a passion for design, an understanding of the importance of craftsmanship and a focus on the details. It is taking the best of modern technology and seamlessly integrates it into a property to make life easier for the inhabitant.
All of this expertise means that Tim & Paul create interiors which are assured and understated but undeniably luxurious. Where comfort and practicality are achieved with impeccable taste; the definition of liveable luxury.
